Ray Ortega

At a very young age, Ray dreamed of becoming the world’s greatest athlete. Those dreams were crushed because he couldn’t catch a ball, but he did have a natural ability to count to four over and over. At 10 is dad bought him a drum set and his older brothers forced him to play it. At 12 while the other kids in the neighborhood were mowing lawns and doing paper routes, Ray found himself playing drums for party bands. Throughout his life he has tried to quit playing drums but all kinds of bands keep hiring him. He has had 37 year career in telecommunications, been married, had kids but nothing could stop the demand for his drumming skills. Fifty plus years later, Ray has entertained in all kinds of bands all over Southern California. He might have even played at your own wedding. Forced once again, Ray finds himself in 4 different bands including this fantastic band Wasted Days And Wasted
Nights.
